FOR PARTICIPANTS WITH DIVERSE ABILITIES AGES 11 AND UP
Burn calories and dance with your friends with music that gets you movin’ to the beat! It’s all about feeling fearless on the dance floor, be yourself and dance like no one is watching! Choreography is adapted to easy-to-follow routines from mainstream to international music from yesterday and today. No prior dance or fitness experience is necessary.
The goal of ConfiDANCE is to create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment where the participants exercise with dancing, build community, and make friends. Our program stands for acceptance, teamwork and fun. We will always celebrate diversity, sportsmanship and the opportunity to be a beacon of hope for all. Participants and volunteers can meet these goals by:
* Following simple choreographed movements with hands, arms, legs, and feet. For participants with limited mobility and/or balance issues, these movements can be performed seated on a chair or with a walker.
* Learning to manage negative behaviors that could distract others during classes.
* Having a general understanding of safety.
WHAT TO WEAR AND BRING TO CLASS:
* Wear comfortable clothing Something you can move around and dance around with!
* Wear comfortable sneakers or tennis shoes. ABSOLUTELY NO OPEN TOE SHOES!!!
* Bring a water bottle. Drink lots of water because hydration is very, very important!
* Bring a small towel because you’re going to sweat like crazy!
